HR Officer/HR Generalist (100% Remote – Full Time)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Officer/Generalist to join our team. In this unique role, you will be responsible for all HR functions for both our internal team members and our external clients. You will help manage, support, and develop a positive workplace culture within our global team, while also providing HR support services to our clients as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding, and orientation processes for both internal staff and client projects

HR Policy & Process: Develop and implement remote-friendly HR policies and procedures for Obisuj Digital and, where needed, for client organizations

Employee & Client Support: Provide HR support to internal team members and act as the main HR contact for client projects (e.g., handling HR documentation, onboarding, and staff welfare)

Records & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, contracts, and compliance documentation for both internal teams and client-related assignments

Performance & Engagement: Coordinate performance reviews, training, development, and engagement programs for distributed teams and client projects

Payroll & Benefits: Manage payroll, leave, and benefits for staff, and support clients with similar HR functions where required

Employee Relations: Address workplace issues, support a positive and inclusive work culture, and mediate conflicts for both internal teams and client assignments

Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with Nigerian employment law and stay informed on international HR best practices for global operations and clients

Diversity & Inclusion: Drive and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all teams and client environments
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or relevant work experience)

At least 1–2 years’ experience in an HR role, preferably within tech, digital, or remote-first organizations

Good understanding of Nigerian employment laws and HR best practices (global HR experience is a plus)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Comfortable working 100% remotely and with distributed, multicultural teams

Proficiency with HR software, remote collaboration, and digital tools
Desirable:

Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent)

Experience in start-ups, agencies, or high-growth environments

Passion for digital innovation and remote work
